A Quick Run Out

Steve, Nick and I were out for a small ride today had to back early due to the fact all of us had our Mother in-laws around for Mother’s day.

We headed off to Nick’s farm for some training over the trees and through the woods. Then we headed of to ‘Telegraph Hill’ then looped back for a quick ride back. We ended up just putting the dirty bikes in the garage with cleaning them as we where all running late.

The good news was it was much warmer today at around 7c.

Out Training Today In Sub Zero Conditions

The 2010 Dakar has started and it has been very good motivation for us. So we went out in sub zero freezing temperatures to do some training on the bikes. Mostly handling practice over logs, through some tight trees and up and down into a very steep pit about 40 feet. Then we proceeded to drop in and out of some deep holes that our mate has dug on his farm. Steve took some video on his helmet camera which I hope to put up later. It was a good workout today both of us working up quite a sweat.

I have also set a challenge to do 100 (two sets of 35 and one of 30) press-ups every day doesn’t sound like much but it’s a start and not as easy as it sounds give it a try (proper slow ones as well none of these quick have no effect ones).
